One Record Club – When a Hobby Becomes a Product

I’ve always been obsessed with records—not just collecting them but truly discovering them. There’s something magical about holding an album in your hands, flipping through liner notes, and listening to music as it was meant to be heard—start to finish.

In a world of endless streams and algorithms, we’ve lost that sense of intentional discovery. Everything is snippets, background noise, and quick skips. But vinyl? Vinyl demands your attention. It’s beautifully inconvenient.

A while back, I made a deal with Álvaro from Meritorio Records: I’d send him €30 every month, and he’d send me whatever he thought was worth hearing from the international indie scene. I didn’t care what it was—I just wanted to trust the process and let myself be surprised. It turned into one of the best parts of my month.

Fast forward to a typical dad moment: waiting in the car to pick up my kids from school. I stumbled across a graphic about “Overlaps”—three circles showing where your passions intersect. For me, it clicked: Records. The Internet. Building things.

What if everyone could share this same discovery experience? What if I could turn my little vinyl experiment into something bigger?

That’s how OneRecord Club was born:

🎶 The first subscription service for international indie records in Spain.

What’s the idea? Simple:

  • You subscribe.
  • We curate and send you a record worth hearing—something you might not know yet, but will absolutely love.
  • You slow down, enjoy the music, and let the discovery surprise you.

This project is about doing what I love—finding new music, building something meaningful, and sharing the joy of records with others. We’re launching soon, and whether you’re a vinyl collector or just curious about the indie scene, OneRecord Club is here to bring music back to the spotlight.

And hey—what better gift than the gift of discovery? 🎁
